Strawberry, Plum, Graham Cracker
Provided with a wide assortment of microclimates and soil profiles to exploit, California can be a winemaker's dream. We navigated the famed appellations of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, and the Sierra foothills to reach our goal of creating a blend that showcases the best of the Golden State.

Blend
Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Syrah, Malbec, Grenache

Winemaker Notes
A diverse set of aromas present themselves—blueberry compote, maraschino cherries, brambly raspberry and a touch of licorice and tomato leaf. Gooseberries, Feijoas, Tropical
The base of our blend is comprised of fruit from vineyards in the heart of the Wairau Valley, with its traditional passionfruit and crisp grassy flavors. This component is complemented by the second wave of plantings in the ever expanding Awatere Valley, which is noted for the minerality and elegant characteristics the fruit gains from the region's proximity to the Pacific Ocean. For the balance of this wine, we have sought out fruit from the southern valley of Waihopai, where the gravel soils, and later, cooler ripening climate produce Sauvignon Blanc characteristics that provide the final layer of complexity and brings balance to our inaugural release of NZ. In the glass, a brilliant pale yellow reminiscent of white currants; the wine opens with an intense bouquet of gooseberries, feijoas, and ripe tropical fruits. The bright entry of fresh cut grass and preserved lemon lead to passionfruit pot de creme showcasing a long finish of fresh herbs and clean minerality.

Cranberry, Cherry, Rhubarb
We have incorporated some of the best regions in France, drawing upon our network of growers from Rhone, Roussillon, and Bordeaux. Our commitment to quality has enabled us to secure fruit from exceptional old vine blocks in revered sub-appellations.

Blend
Grenache, Syrah, and assorted Bordeaux varietals

Winemaker Notes
A dominant nose of red raspberries and wild strawberries, which leads into notes of cranberry, cherry, and rhubarb compote. Berry, Spicy, Plum
Much like generations of craftsmen before us, we were intent to capture the nobility of Spanish through its geographic diversity. Fruit with Mediterranean and Continental influences was sourced from 5 regions in particular: Priorat, Jumilla, Toro, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero. Old vines, low yields, and a palate attuned to excellence, work in harmony and enable us to reach our goal.

Blend
Grenache/Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell, Carignan/Carineña

Winemaker Notes Opens with aromatic notes of tobacco, cigar box, and ripe plum, and leads to an opulent palate of dark berries, earth, hints of spice, and sweet tobacco with a lengthy, luscious finish

Aging
Barrel aged 10 months prior to release

Ripe Blackberries, Dark Chocolate, Generous Finish
A sixth generation vintner and friend of Locations winemaker, Dave Phinney, once said, “if I were twenty-one, single, and could make wine anywhere in the world, it would be Washington.” Not being able to ignore such an endorsement, we headed north and began tracking down what we believe to be some of the finest vineyard sites, in the best wine growing regions in the state.

Blend
Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache

Winemaker Notes
A layered and aromatic nose of ripe blackberry, plums, dark chocolate and black fig jump from the glass. Expansive on entry, the palate is replete with boysenberry, black cherry, a hint of bay leaf and fig. The generosity of the wine continues with a long finish of baking chocolate and ripe drying tannins.
